We take the great commission very seriously at the Church of Christ at West Huntsville. As you can tell from the list below, we are attempting to spread the good word around as much of the globe as is possible. We believe that spreading the word is our responsiblity. We believe that if we don't do it, no one else might do it either. What isn't listed is that various members of our congregation go on campaigns during each year. Our congregation has been a starting point for many preachers at congregations around north Alabama and central Tennessee. Several young men of our congregation from the past are now gospel preachers as well.
We are also active in the local prison ministery. We have members who visit and teach the inmates at Limestone Correctional Facility (LCF). LCF has an honor dorm that is a "faith-based" facility in which the inmates must earn the right to reside. They are good students and many have learned of God's will through this program.
We are also very active with World Bible School. We have made contacts in approximately ninty different countries through the World Bible School. For more information on WBS program click here.
