The Church of Christ at West Huntsville has interpreters for sign language at each and every worship service. There are several men in the congregation that assist in the sign language interpretation of services. There is a Bible class on Sunday Morning and Wednesday evening that uses sign language as its primary means of communication. Every other Sunday, there is a worship service available that is conducted in sign language with speech interpretation.
The Church of Christ at West Huntsville has sign language training classes that meet at 4:00 p.m. each Sunday afternoon. There is a beginning class and an advanced class. The class cycle starts in September of each year, but new comers are welcome at anytime. These classes are open to anyone that would like to learn sign language. They teach basic communications skills as well as some basics which can be used to interpret during worship services. Many sessions of these classes are actually taught by our deaf members.
